Pen ar Pont
is a converted late 18th. century farmhouse set twenty minutes from the sea in the valley of the River Leguer in the beautiful Breton countryside.
Pen ar Pont is in four acres of its own grounds and is surrounded by forty acres of woodland. We are next to the River Leguer where fishing is available for salmon and sea trout. Only a local licence is necessary; in France there are no riparian rights. There are many paths around the property for quiet woodland strolls.
We are ten minutes from Lannion, a thriving market town with a large weekly outside market on Thursdays, many Mediaeval buildings and many high class boutiques and restaurants.
The sea is twenty minutes from Pen ar Pont at St. Michel en Greve on the magnificent Pink Granite Coast. There are numerous sandy beaches around the coast with opportunities for wind-surfing, fishing, boat trips, swimming or just walking round the coastal path.
Pen ar Pont is an old farm and there are large grounds to saunter round, farmbirds on-site, also, table-tennis and darts. There are many paths around the area, to Sept Saints and along the River Leguer for example. There are woodpeckers and jays in the woods and even the possiblity of running into the odd deer or wild boar.
